UAE Marine Delegates Visit GW Precision for Precision Parts

2026-09-07 08:30

On August 21, 2026, client representatives from the UAE's marine-equipment sector visited GW Precision's Luoyang headquarters for an on-site inspection and technical exchange. The visiting clients are marine-equipment suppliers serving the Middle East and Gulf shipping markets; the purpose of the visit was to verify our manufacturing capabilities and quality system on site.

Seeing real manufacturing capability on the shop floor

Customers toured the production workshop and in-process machined products — from supplied blanks and rough machining, through five-face precision machining and laser surface hardening, to CMM inspection — with each process step laid out across the workshop. At the inspection center, they reviewed the inspection equipment and quality-control system, from key-dimension measurement and geometric-tolerance recheck to performance verification, and discussed control points of specific processes with the on-site team. They also visited the core-technology showcase to learn about our long-established precision machining capabilities and typical service-condition experience. Customers noted that seeing the complete machining chain from blank to finished component within a single base helps them judge a supplier's actual manufacturing ability more directly.

In-depth exchange around core technologies

Both sides held in-depth discussions on GW Precision's core manufacturing technologies. Marine bearing chocks serve long-term in humid, salt-spray and alternating-load environments, with requirements for corrosion resistance, dimensional stability and fatigue performance higher than general conditions. Around these requirements, the two sides exchanged views on key manufacturing and quality-control points, and discussed how to maintain long-term bearing-chock accuracy under complex service conditions. Marine bearing chocks share structural commonalities with the company's established main product, rolling mill bearing chocks, but differ in service environment and duty requirements — which was precisely the focus of this technical exchange. Both sides agreed that a technical dialogue built around real operating conditions is more valuable than simply comparing parameters.

Extending from rolling-mill lines to marine precision parts

The Middle East is a vital global shipping hub with a continuously active shipping market and steadily growing demand for high-precision basic components. GW Precision has long supplied bearing chocks, rolling mill components and other core precision parts to metallurgical and rolling lines. This exchange also opened space for GW Precision to extend from rolling-mill lines into marine precision parts. For GW Precision, this visit was both an opportunity to expand the application of marine precision parts and an important step to further broaden international markets and deepen cooperation with Middle East clients.
