307 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance, high temperature stability, and creep resistance, suitable for high temperature and high load conditions of plate and strip mills.
Application scenarios of stainless steel sleeves for plate and strip rolling mills
Core functions
Supporting rollers: maintain dimensional stability during high-temperature rolling (300-600 ℃);
Corrosion resistance: resistant to the corrosion of rolling cooling water, lubricants, and iron oxide scales;
Creep resistance: It is not easily deformed under long-term high-temperature work, ensuring rolling accuracy (thickness tolerance of plate and strip ± 2-5 μ m).
Typical operating conditions
High temperature environment: The working temperature of the hot-rolled strip mill can reach 400~600 ℃;
High speed: The speed of the roughing mill is 100-300 rpm, and the speed of the finishing mill can reach 500-800 rpm;
Multi medium contact: corrosive media such as rolling oil, cooling water, and iron oxide scale.

Heat treatment process of dedicated stainless steel sleeve for plate and strip rolling mill
307 stainless steel is austenitic stainless steel, mainly optimized for performance through solution treatment, without the need for quenching strengthening:
(1) Solution treatment (key step)
Process: 1050-1100 ℃ × 1h/25mm, water quenching or rapid air cooling;
Purpose: Dissolve carbides, eliminate processing stress, and restore corrosion resistance.
(2) Stabilization treatment (optional)
Process: 850~900 ℃ for 2 hours, slow cooling;
Applicable scenario: To prevent chromium carbide precipitation (intergranular corrosion) during long-term operation at 450-800 ℃.
(3) Stress relief annealing (after precision machining)
Process: 300-400 ℃ for 2 hours, air-cooled;
Purpose: To reduce residual stress in machining and avoid subsequent deformation.
Centrifugal casting
GW precision adopts Centrifugal casting to guarantee the inner and outer surface of the dedicated stainless steel sleeve is free from defects such as cracks, slag inclusion, pores and sand holes. Adopt mature heat treatment technology to ensure the mechanical properties of dedicated stainless steel sleeve.
